WHAT IS HARDWOOD BAMBOO FLOORING?

If you’re new to the concept of bamboo flooring, you might be wondering about its classification as a hardwood. Bamboo is manufactured into dense, hard-wearing flooring boards through our world-class Stabilised Solid® process, which retains its natural beauty while improving its durability and strength as flooring. By undergoing our patented sustainability-friendly process, which includes nine layers of protective coating, our flooring stands up to the rigours of everyday life over the long run. Essentially, our Stabilised Solid bamboo flooring can match or even exceed the strength of traditional hardwoods, so it’s especially good if you’re concerned about longevity and want to maintain an eco-friendly lifestyle.

RECENT PROJECTS

Our Stabilised Solid technology creates a beautiful, reliable, solid engineered timber floorboard. We are 100% confident that our patented Lifewood floorboards will outperform both solid and engineered timber boards, and we guarantee them with a lifetime warranty.

SOLID VS ENGINEERED BAMBOO FLOORING

When choosing your flooring, compare Lifewood’s Stabilised Solid bamboo timber with other types of engineered bamboo timber. Our Stabilised Solid planks consist of three layers of 100% solid bamboo hardwood flooring from top to bottom, providing an authentic bamboo feel that can be re-sanded multiple times. It is further protected by nine layers of coating, increasing moisture and scratch resistance.

Other types of engineered bamboo on the market typically consist of a slim top layer of veneer with cheap wood substitutes in the lower layers that usually can’t be re-sanded. The sub-layers of these engineered bamboo floorboards don’t normally have protective coatings. However, they are easy to install and cost-effective.

Each option offers its own advantages, meeting different budgets, needs and preferences.

SOLID VS ENGINEERED BAMBOO FLOORING

If you’re at the point of selecting a flooring solution for your Perth home, bear in mind that our meticulously engineered bamboo floorboards perform exceptionally well in our local climatic conditions. At Lifewood, we’ve already transformed in excess of 8500 Perth homes with our quality floors, in styles that include Australian hardwood, French oak and American timber options.

Our expert team is on hand to provide professional advice and hands-on guidance, and can arrange full-service supply and installation services for a seamless experience. Please contact us today to schedule a free personalised 30-minute consultation to see how Lifewood flooring can elevate your home.

THE ELEGANCE OF FRENCH OAK FLOORING

French Oak flooring has an elegance that is hard to find in any other flooring product. It’s appeal hasn’t diminished over the years, and with the development of Lifewood’s extra long and extra wide floorboards, it is now in even higher demand.

French Oak is generally considered to be superior to other oak varieties: it has a higher tannin content, which in turn gives more colour variety; it has a tighter grain structure, meaning it is far more dense and it’s also a more stable timber, perfectly suited for Australia’s harsh climate.
