Lifewood Harmony Range FAQS
Got any questions? Lifewood has you covered. Ask our friendly team over the phone or in-person. We’re happy to help out!
What is the Lifewood Harmony Collection?
The Harmony Collection by Lifewood is a premium yet cost-effective timber flooring option, made with a thinner layer of Australian hardwood or European oak, stabilised with European birch plywood for durability.
Is the Harmony Collection a floating floor or a direct stick floor?
The Harmony range is designed as a direct stick tongue-and-groove floorboard. While it can be floated, it performs best when glued down for stability and longevity.
Can Harmony floors be sanded and refinished?
Yes. Harmony floorboards have a 3mm solid timber surface layer, which allows them to be sanded and refinished up to two times. Typically, sanding is only needed every 10–15 years, depending on household traffic.
How stable is the Harmony flooring?
Harmony floors are engineered with cross-laminated European birch plywood, one of the stiffest substrates available, ensuring excellent long-term stability.
What colours and timbers are available in the Harmony range?
The Harmony Collection is available in a curated range of popular timbers and colours, including European oak, Spotted Gum, and Blackbutt.
Who is the Harmony Collection best suited for?
Harmony is ideal for first-home buyers, families on a budget, large areas, and builders who want high-quality timber flooring at an affordable price.
Can I install the Harmony floor myself?
Yes, the Harmony Collection can be installed DIY or by a professional. However, as it is designed to be glued down, professional installation is recommended.
How does Harmony compare to hybrid or laminate flooring?
Unlike hybrids or laminates, which are made from synthetic materials, Harmony flooring is made from real Australian timber and European oak, feels solid underfoot, and can be sanded and refinished.
