Turning a tree that is round into a floor that is flat, and doesn’t change shape with the changes in environment is a challenge that owner and creator, Mark Hutchison, met in the early 2000’s, with his Bamboo timber flooring business, Bamboozle.
20 years later and an evolution towards Australian timbers, French Oaks and American timbers, Lifewood continues to manufacture floors designed to resist ‘cupping’, moisture and scratches. Timber is a natural product that inherently succumbs to heavy treatment no matter where it is made, or who makes it. Mark recognised this and developed his design to give lovers of natural timber the best possible outcome.
