It’s hard to imagine this lovely home, set amongst the trees in the Perth Hills, was originally built with slate flooring, 2 walls separating the kitchen and lounge and a much lower ceiling.
Our clients seeing the potential of this home, began the process of removing walls, slate and lifting the ceiling to expose the timber beams. An onsite caravan meant they could be there without trying to live amongst the demolition and floor removal.
Our Marri 180mm wide boards soon filled the home with warmth and rich tones! Neutral colours work effectively in the decor. The blacks echoing the sap lines and grain of Marri and the timber furniture adding to the warmth, while the white cabinetry and walls offer a crisp, clean feel.
The result of these choices is, you’d have to agree, a more open, bright and welcoming home!
